Céline and Paul live in Worcestershire with their two cats and a never-ending list of creative projects to complete when they’re not working. They wrote The Dead Shadow together as they wanted to tell a story that transcends the clichéd trope of the fantasy hero who’s always the talented ‘chosen one’. Instead they wrote a story where the non-chosen ones coexist in a diverse spectrum of life, where both neurotypical and neuroatypical characters explore the morally muddy layers between good and bad, the depth of found family bonds in the face of peer rejection, and the complexities of a broken world order.
Coming 2025, The Dead Shadow is an exciting fantasy adventure for all ages, that explores what happens when clueless and reluctant heroes embark together on an epic adventure armed with nothing but wit, extreme clumsiness, and absolutely no control over their magical abilities.
