We are delighted to announce that Jacquie Waterfield has signed with us for her debut middle-grade fantasy Imp, a children’s adventure with heart, humour and a strong moral message about friendship and bravery. Imp is a junior demon who causes mischief in human homes. When he gets left behind in a little girl’s room, he faces the most difficult choice of all – will he decide to be good or bad?
Jacquie Waterfield is a former journalist with more than 20 years’ writing experience. She graduated with a First in English from Royal Holloway, University of London, and has had various jobs as a journalist, bookseller and medical secretary. She now works in local theatre and performs regular storytelling sessions for children and poetry readings. She has always been fascinated by myths and legends and was inspired for this story by growing up in Lincoln, with the legend of the Lincoln Imp at the cathedral.
Look out for Imp in early 2027!
