We’re thrilled to announce Dan Batchelor has signed with us for his high-stakes science fiction sequel, Jack Palmer II: The Resistance!
Dan Batchelor grew up in West Sussex with his twin brother where he would enjoy playing various sports such as football and golf. Reading and writing was something he found difficult at school and it wasn’t until he was 17 whilst reading out loud in a Media class that it was discovered he was dyslexic. Since then, he went on to study Sports Science at university before attaining qualified teacher status. He has been a teacher for the previous ten years and now works passionately to make sure every child has the confidence to achieve their dreams, whatever barrier they face. Reading and creative writing are not only essential for a child’s education but also a chance to escape in an ever-increasing world to navigate. He wants to change the perception of what someone with dyslexia and what a writer is.
In June 2024, the first of his Jack Palmer trilogy was published by Cranthorpe Millner. A New Order followed Jack Palmer as Earth was invaded by aliens. The Resistance continues his story as he discovers the aliens have secrets that may just help him free Earth. Working alongside a small resistance of Elder aliens, Jack believes he can free earth as well as change the things across the universe.
