We are absolutely thrilled to announce that B. Ware has signed with us for her latest middle grade novel, WARNING: Grandma’s Gone Bonkers!
B. Ware is the pseudonym used by Jo Stacey when writing children’s books. An avid reader from a young age, Jo’s childhood dream was to become an author. At night, she’d often read by torchlight under the bedclothes – or scribble story ideas into old exercise books – when she was supposed to be fast asleep! It wasn’t until she home-schooled her children during the COVID-19 lockdown that Jo’s passion for creative writing was rekindled, and she wrote her first romance novel. But with her children in mind, she then turned her hand to middle-grade fiction and found her true calling… as B. Ware.
Her first children’s book, WARNING: Magic Can Be Dangerous!, was published in April 2024. Ever since then, she’s been offering free school visits in Gloucestershire and beyond, hosting assemblies and creative writing workshops with the aim of encouraging children to keep reading for pleasure. WARNING: Grandma’s Gone Bonkers is the third standalone title she’s published in the Words of WARNING collection, and she has plans to release a new book every year.
